Germany: Lufthansa to Shut down Germanwings Operations

German airline group Lufthansa will cease all operations of its subsidiary Germanwings due to a global drop in consumer demand because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The group will also reduce their fleet and decommission aircraft as a means to financially survive the impact of the pandemic.
