Greek banks remain closed through July 13

Bank closures in Greece have been extended to and include July 13. The daily withdrawal limit remains at 60 Euros for cards issued by Greek banks. For travellers with cards not issued by Greek banks, the daily limit imposed by the Greek banking system is usually 600 Euros or the limit imposed by your bank, whichever amount is lower. Withdrawals also depend on the amount of cash available at the ATM machine.

Advice

During this financial crisis, take enough Euros in cash to cover the trip, and have more than one means of payment, i.e. credit cards, cash, etc.

Also, take an adequate supply of your prescription medicines and any medical supplies that you need. There have been reports of shortages of medical supplies.
