Human cases of West Nile fever confirmed in USA & Canada (QC, CT, CA, ID, MS, NE, OH, & IN).

Health authorities continue to report human cases of West Nile fever in areas of USA and Canada. The latest places where human cases have been reported include:

  • Four cases confirmed in Quebec (two in Laval, one in Montreal and one in the Outaouais)
  • Stamford, Connecticut
  • Glenn County, California (there have been 20 human cases confirmed throughout California this year as of August 31)
  • Gem County, Idaho
  • Two cases confirmed in Forrest and Rankin counties, Mississippi (bringing the total human cases reported in Mississippi to 18 this year)
  • Hall County, Nebraska
  • Two cases confirmed in Cuyahoga and Putnam counties, Ohio
  • Marion County, Indiana
