Hungary declares state of emergency in two southern counties that border Serbia

Today Hungary declared a state of emergency in two counties along the border with Serbia to stop the illegal entry of refugees.

The state of emergency will give the government the ability to deploy troops if necessary and give police extra powers.

Travellers in areas where refugees have been crossing borders may encounter travel disruption and delays. Allow extra time and have alternate routes planned if necessary.
