Latvia: Protest in Riga on 28 November

Latvian Health and Social Care Workers’ Trade Union (LVSADA) has called for a protest in Riga on 28 November to demand the resignation of the health minister and a reconsideration of the 2020 budget. Protestors will gather outside the Saeima (Parliament) building at 11:00 (local time).

Expect increase police presence near the protest site. To minimize safety risk, avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Even events intended to be peaceful can escalate unexpectedly and quickly become violent.
