Libya Temporarily Suspends Flights to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan

Libya is looking for alternative routes for all the flights whose route passes over the eastern region, including flights to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, after forcing flights to land at Benina Benghazi. Until then, flights heading for these countries will be suspended.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport said they will not allow the landing of Libyan aircraft at Benina Airport and “expose Libyan citizen to insult and humiliation”. Affected passengers should contact their airlines or travel provider to determine how travel plans are affected.
