Local 24-hour transportation strike in Rome, Italy, June 3, 2015

In Rome, Italy, unions have called for a 24-hour local transportation strike for Monday 3 June, 2015, beginning at midnight. Services are guaranteed during the commuting hours of 05:00 to 08:30 and 17:00 to 20:00. All runs will cease at 8:30 AM and resume from 17:00 (5:00 PM). Local transportation will be affected, including metro, buses, trams, trolleys, and local railway (Roma-Lido, Termini-Giardinetti, and Roma-Viterbo).

There may be major traffic disruptions, although some services will be guarantee during commuting hours. Italian law requires the operation of minimum services during strikes.
