Locally acquired Dengue Fever appears in Miami, USA.

Health officials of the Miami-Dade Health Department have confirmed that a second case of dengue fever was infected by local mosquitoes. The first local case in 50 years occurred in November 2010.

Although one case of Dengue fever does not constitute an actual or impending outbreak, travellers should be aware that there is a risk of exposure to Dengue fever in this area due to infected mosquitoes.
