Measles outbreaks reported by several countries

Cases and outbreaks of measles are being reported by the following countries:

  • Sierra Leone - Kono district reports an outbreak of measles in 7 out of 14 chiefdoms
  • Brazil - the current 18 month long outbreak in Ceará has resulted in 141 cases
  • France - 169 cases in Alsace Region; 10 people hospitalized
  • New Zealand - sporadic case traced to to a guest who stayed at the SkyCity Hotel, Auckland
