Measles reported from many countries

Sporadic cases, deaths and outbreaks of measles are being reported by the following countries (areas):

Canada - Alberta (28 confirmed cases and 11 for the Edmonton zone)

USA - cases reported from 18 states and New York City. Most cases were reported from Ohio (138), California (60), and New York City (26), but also Pennsylvania (Pittsburg)

Somalia - Afmadow (72 people, 50 of them children under the age of 5)

India - Delhi (over 4,500 suspected measles cases in past 3 months)

Kazakhstan - Shymkent (40 cases from Astana)

Pakistan - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (3 deaths in children)

Ukraine - Kharkov

Russia - Dagestan (more than 500 cases of measles reported in Dagestan so far this year)

Micronesia - Kosrae Island (2 cases)
