Military coup in Burkina Faso

Today, the Burkina Faso military announced that Presidential Guard officers have seized power in a coup. There are unconfirmed reports of more than 10 deaths and 60 people injured in violence in the capital, Ouagadougou.

Advice

A night-time curfew has been imposed across the country from 19:00 (7 pm) to 06:00 am. Land and air borders are closed. If you are in Burkina Faso, remain indoors. There is potential for further violence.
