Learn moreNew Rules for Foreigners on Domestic Flights - Thailand
Starting 16 January, all foreigners who travel on domestic flights will be required to present a boarding pass with the passport or other identification documents. As per the Civil Aviation Authority, this new policy is being implemented to enforce an eligibility criteria for the foreign passengers to board a domestic flight. The rules are intended to also prevent them from overstaying illegally. They will be asked to present their original passport with their full name and it should match with the name on their boarding pass. For ID proof, they can also present a laissez-passer issued by the United Nations.
