Peru declares a 60-day emergency in the district of Lurigancho-Chosica near Lima

The Government of Peru has declared a 60-day emergency in the district of Lurigancho-Chosica, following the destruction of infrastructure and basic services caused by landslides. Landslides have also caused disruptions to the Carretera Central (Central Highway).
