Possible strikes on Belgian rail system

Belgian rail unions have announced strikes on January 6, 7, 21, 22, and 23, 2016. The strikes could be averted if union and management talks come to an agreement.

Thalys has announced the following:

Monday, January 5, 2016

• Cancelled - Thalys 9393 (Paris Nord 21:25 - Brussels-Midi 22:47)
• Cancelled - Thalys 9394 (Brussels-Midi 22:13 - Paris Nord 23:35)

Tuesday, January 6, 2016: All Thalys services will be cancelled

Wednesday, January 7, 2016: All Thalys services will be cancelled, except:

• Thalys 9387 (Paris Nord 20:25 - Brussels-Midi 21:47) and
• Thalys 9393 (Paris Nord 21:25 - Brussels-Midi 22:47).

Advice

Because talks between unions and management are ongoing at this time, the strike could be cancelled. If you plan to travel on these days, re-confirm your reservation and/or have alternate plans.
