Security situation update for Tajikistan

Following the September 4 armed clashes in and around Dushanbe and Vahdat, there have been reports of continuing incidents in areas around Dushanbe and in the Romit Valley, about 30 kilometers from Dushanbe.

Advice

Security measures have increased. Although the security situation is calm at this time, exercise extra caution. Avoid large public gatherings of people. Check with your country’s embassy before travelling outside the city.
