Some countries evacuate citizens from Libya as hostilities increase

In Libya, hostilities have increased since a renegade general has surfaced, with the self-declared Libyan National Army, and has vowed to rid Libya of Islamist militants. The Libyan National Army has launched an air and land offensive in Benghazi against Islamist militias, and 75 people have been reported killed. Some members of Libyan army and militias have quickly declared allegiance to the Libyan National Army. Some fear a renewed civil war.

Reports indicate the Saudi government has closed its embassy and evacuated diplomatic staff and that the United States military is preparing to evacuate American citizens out of Libya.
