Suicide attack on police headquarters in Tiaret, Algeria

Two police officers were killed today in a suicide attack on the regional police headquarters building in Tiaret.

Since the end of Algeria’s 1990s war against armed Islamists, attacks and bombings have been rare. However, militants connected with radical groups are still active. Although they tend to target the armed forces, exercise caution if you are travelling in Algeria.
