West Nile virus found in counties in Illinois, New York & Massachusetts and 3 more cases confirmed in Florida

Health authorities continue to examine local mosquitoes and report isolations of the virus that causes West Nile Fever. The latest places where the virus has been found include:

  • Jackson County, Illinois
  • Rockland County, New York
  • Boston and Watertown, Massachusetts

Three more cases of West Nile fever have also been confirmed in Duval County, Florida, bringing the number of known cases in Duval County to 5.
