Yellow fever outbreak in Angola is a major concern - update

As of June 1st, authorities in Angola have reported 2,893 suspected cases of yellow fever with 325 deaths. Despite extensive vaccination campaigns in several provinces, circulation of the virus persists. The virus is largely concentrated in heavily populated main cities and provinces, but active transmission of this virus is occurring in all provinces. Approximately 42 percent of these cases are reported in Luanda province.

All travellers should be vaccinated against yellow fever at least 10 days prior to travelling.
