New Tourist Visa Rules for Chinese Nationals - Philippines

Starting 10 May, the Foreign Affairs Department will implement new and stricter rules for issuance of tourist visas to Chinese nationals. The decision comes as reports of fraudulently acquired visas and crimes continue to rise. The new rules include presenting social security documents by visa applicants. Requirement of other documents such as government IDs, proof of financial capacity, employment certificate and bank statements remains unchanged.
