Syrian civil war (summary)

As the battles rage back and forth between government forces and the Free Syrian Army rebels, and while accusations of possible use of chemical warfare agents by the government surface, one of the biggest issues has become the massive flood of refugees into Jordan and other neighbouring countries. Up to several thousand people, mostly women, children and the wounded, cross over the Syrian border each day. International relief agencies and non-governmental organizations are very hard pressed to provide essential services for hundreds of thousands of refugee.

As the war continues, all travel to Syria should be avoided.
